Advertising Poster Vienna Konzerthaus Balkans Austria Hungary WWI Ludwig Hesshaimer. Original antique advertising poster for a lecture at the Wiener Konzerthaus on 2 April 1917 - Quer Durch Den Balkan Im Weltkriegsjahr 1916 / Across the Balkans in 1916 the Year of the World War - given by Major Ludwig Hesshaimer (1872-1956) of the Austro Hungarian army featuring 150 projected images based on original hand drawings and original photographs. An Austrian draftsman, etcher and illustrator as well as a military officer, Ludwig Heisshaimer designed the artwork depicting a man wearing a yellow top with an ammunition belt round his waist and holding a rifle gun across his shoulders in front a cloudy blue sky background, the stylised lettering above and below. Good condition, folds, small tears, creasing. Country of issue: Austria, designer: L. Heissheimer, size (cm): 84x53, year of printing: 1916.
