AN ANTIQUE RUSSIAN SILVER ICON 1885
An antique Russian icon depicting George the Victorious, slaying the serpent. Consists of a wooden part painted with tempera and a silver risa, decorated with engraved patterns. The back is upholstered in brown velvet.Hallmarks: 84 silver standard, the initials of the assay master: "A.P" over the date 1885, the coat of arms of Moscow with the image of St. George the Victorious.
Dimensions: 12 1/4 x 10 1/2 in. (31.1 x 26.7 cm.)
Condition: Very good
