AN ANTIQUE 1900S CHINESE GUAN YIN WOOD SCULPTURE
A rare antique Chinese hand carved and lacquered wood Figure of the goddess Guan Yin carved with great attention to detail and dated from the late 19th to the early 20th century. The goddess of mercy is depicted with a ruyi scepter in the right arm. Large age related natural crack on wood crosses the figurine. Usually that kind of deep and long cracks on wood appear on well aged pieces. Asian Buddhist Antiques For Collectors.
