LARGE ANTIQUE PERSIAN QAJAR YUSUF AND ZULAIKHA PAINTING
A large antique Persian Qajar era painting on canvas. Portrays a narrative from the Persian epic poem Haft Awrang by Nezami Ganjavi which recounts the story of Yusuf and Zulaikha. It revolves around the unrequited love of Zulaikha, the wife of an Egyptian nobleman, for the handsome and virtuous Yusuf. The painting captures a pivotal moment in the tale.
