Mikhail Vasilievich Nesterov, Russian, 1862 to 1942, watercolor painting on paper depicting an icon of St. Andrew the First Called. Signed lower right. Framed. Mikhail Vasilyevich Nesterov is a Russian artist, painter, and member of the Association of Traveling Exhibitions and the World of Art. He was a Russian and Soviet painter; associated with the Peredvizhniki and Mir Iskusstva. He was one of the first exponents of Symbolist art in Russia. Mikhail Nesterov is known for Landscape and portrait paintings, and religious art. One of a kind artwork.
