MEDIEVAL GOLD RING WITH RED RUBY
Ca. AD 1300 - 1500.
A Medieval 23.5 ct gold ring with bezel securing a circular ruby cabochon. The band is decorated with a motif of engraved lines. This piece has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements.
