GROUP OF THREE SELJUK BOWLS
Ca. AD 1000 - 1200.
A group of three glazed Islamic bowls. The first vessel on the left has a conical body connected to a round foot, decorated with green pale glaze and floral motifs. It is dated to the 12th Century. The second vessel is sgraffito ware adorned with a geometric pattern engraved on the surface of the conical body. The exterior is not glazed and it has a round foot. It is dated to the 11th Century. The third vessel has a conical body, round foot decorated with yellow, brown and green under a transparent glaze. It depicts a stag between letters and is dated to the 12th Century.
