Ca. 420 - 350 BCA Greek architectural fragment with the head of Medusa. She is depicted with finely-carved features, almond-shaped eye and wavy hair/snakes centrally-parted. The head is surmounted with a geometric decoration. Christies, 'Antiquities', London, 14th and 15th May, 2002, Lot 452; Ex. collection of the late William Gladstone Stewart (1933-2017), host of television show 'Fifteen to One'. Fifteen to One was a British general knowledge quiz show broadcast on Channel 4. It originally ran from 11 January 1988 to 19 December 2003 and had a reputation for being one of the toughest quizzes on TV. Throughout the show's original run, it was presented and produced by William G. Stewart. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
