Ca. AD 500 - 700.A stunning openwork gold Byzantine cross pendant, embellished with a phytomorphic motif made in filigree. The cross is composed of four arms with finials, adorned with a cross. At the center is a filigree cross, framed with a gold circle. The five filigree crosses represent the five wounds of Christ.
