Ca. AD 900 - 1100.A Byzantine open-work silver electrum enkolpion cross. The cross is embellished with a central circle and eight petite cylinders on the corners of the four arms. A suspension loop extends from the upper arm of the cross.Size: 40mm x 18mm; Weight: 3gProvenance: Private UK collection; From an old British collection formed in the 1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
