Ca. 500 - 300 BC.An Eastern Greek cast-bronze figurine of a bull with a stocky body, large detailed wings and a long tail. The raised head bears impressed eyes, behind a tapered snout and a pair of horns projecting from its temples. Fine layers of green and brown patina cover the entire bull and imbue it with a wondrous presentation.Size: 140mm x 75mm; Weight: 585gProvenance: Property of an Oxfordshire art professional; previously in an old British collection, formed in the 1980s on the UK / International art markets.
