RARE ANCIENT GREEK BLACK GLAZED KALPIS
Ca. 400 - 300 BC.A black glazed Kalpis with a large body and two handles set on top of the shoulders. The body is smooth and is set on a double-ring base. Over the surface there is a glossy glaze, including on the resting surface and the neck. Size: 175mm x 165mm; Weight: 665gProvenance: Private UK collection, acquired on the Dutch art market; previously acquired on the Belgian art market. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
