Naqada, Ca. 3600 BC. An exceptionally rare tubular ceramic vessel with a flat base, rounded walls and a tapered lower section. The everted rim is adorned with two simplified animal forms. The surface has alternating white-painted vertical panels featuring chevron patterns and stylised vegetal motifs. Possibly the best-preserved example ever offered on the market!
