EGYPTIAN FAIENCE SCARAB
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A glazed faience scarab. The head is intricately detailed, displaying characteristic features such as prominent compound eyes and a distinct, rounded forehead. The underside features three cobras, known as uraei, each with their hoods raised. Size: 16mm x 11mm; weight 2g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired on the UK art market, pre-2000.
