A GROUP OF MAMLUK POTTERY FRAGMENTS
Egypt, Ca. AD 1300 - 1500. A collection of three pottery fragments. The first fragment on the left depicts stylised foliate patterns. The second fragment is from a bowl with a partial roundel containing the Arms Bearer's Arms. The third fragment has blue and white decoration. The fourth fragment of irregular circular form. It is made from red earthenware and is incised in yellow and brown glaze with a roundel bearing a cup. The base has some remains of glaze. Exhibited in the Austrian Summer Exhibition 2007 and published in the catalogue Kreuzritter Exhibition at Schallaburg, Austria, 2007 p. 242/ 243.
