Signed Rav Elchonon Halpern to Chief Rabbi Jakobovits of Ireland, later becoming Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom and then Chief Rabbi Lord Jakobovits
Rav Elchonon Halpern born 1922 in Kashau Czechoslovakia was a descendent of giants of Sanz., Brezhan, Ropshits, Zlotchov and Premishlan. Soon after his marriage in London he opened his Shul Beis Shmuel in Golders Green and led his Baale Batim as Ruv and Moireh D'asreh for 73 years. His Mother was the daughter of the Maharash Engel in whose Sefer Sh'alos U'tshuvos Maharash Engel the dedication can be found. The Sefer was printed in the US.
