Pietro Messori was born in Modena in 1870. He represents a very high and significant moment in the history and art of violin making. He is one of the most representative figures in the context of Emilian violin making between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. his professional ability ever closer to the great tradition of Italian violin making which has earned him prestigious national and international awards. & nbsp;
He began studying with Giuseppe Sgarbi in 1893 and worked for the famous luthier Giuseppe Fiorini. & nbsp ;
Later he opened his shop in Modena.
He was inspired by the models of Amati and Guarneri. In 1914 he restored a viola by Girolamo Amat
