Ali Al Jabiri was born in Amara (Iraq) in 1948. He studied Fine Arts in Baghdad before moving to Italy in 1970 where he continued his formation in sculpture and decorative arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome. Along his career he exhibited his works in many shows both in Iraq and abroad and his fame increased thanks to his participation in the Iraqi pavilion of the Venice Biennale in 1976, 1988 and 1990. In the meantime, the artist also planned and created a series of large monuments that can still be seen today in Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.In this canvas, geometric figures in gold leaf dialogue with a pseudo-inscription in archaic ciphers in the upper area of the painting.Signed at lower left. Signature and date on the reverse. The authenticity is confirmed by the artist's heirs.
