An etruscan amber pendant set in a silver mounting. Masculine head. 8th - 7th century B.C. H: 2,9 mm The head presents masculine archaic traits, with large almond-shaped eyes. Slight cracks on the surface. Traces of the ancient silver mounting. Provenance: The Gotha Precious Collection: property of a Swiss Collector; with Oswald Burchard, Zurich, until 1983; formerly part of the M. Hess Collection (Hotel Jura, Basel).
