L'Aeronautica italiana nell'immagine 1487-1875
Important volume by Timina Caproni Guasti and Achille Bertarelli, on the history of the Italian Air Force from 1487 to 1875, with prints, documents, edicts, which tell the epic from Leonardo da Vinci to the ascents with the balloon. Printed in only 500 copies, Volume in Folio with 174 plates o.t., original binding in half parchment with figured plates, 405x325 mm. , gold titles on SPECIAL PARCHMENT spine with 4 nerves, figured plates with titles and friezes imprinted in gold. Luxury edition published by Bestetti in 1938, printed with the ad personam dedication to General Aldo Pellegrini, deputy commander of the Decennial Air Cruise on the Savoia Marchetti SM55X I-PELL aircraft. The lot is completed by a photograph of the General in full uniform, and a deco-style aluminum plate bearing the general's name. Volume in perfect condition, front facing paper with slight fold, complete with its rigid cardboard case.
