Autograph letter
Letter for an international solidarity and fundraising competition for the city of Murcia, a city in southern Spain that suffered a tragic flood in 1879. Garibaldi too decided to participate in this solidarity race, together with other states and political personalities. The text reads "LIKE FRANCE, SPAIN IS THE SISTER OF ITALY AND WE HAVE A SIGN OF LIKING TO THAT UNFORTUNATE MURCIA, BLOOD OF OUR BLOOD. FOR YOUR LIFE". Written and autographed by Giuseppe Garibaldi, we still note the French deputy Leon Gambetta, this General Mario Delgrosso, and others. The handwritten signatures are accompanied by the sealing wax stamps of the signatories. Sheet measures 30x21 cm, framed measures 47x39 cm. Very good condition
