Portrait of Pope Pius IX, born Giovanni Maria Mastai Ferretti. Blessing, in a choral dress with red velvet mozzetta and ermine, with a white skullcap on his head, a piscatory ring in his hand. Oil on canvas, signed S.PETACCO 187 (?) Lower right, with gilded wooden frame. In good condition, slight damage to the canvas with a lack of color in the upper left, easily restored.
