elephant ivory carving (Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758 or Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797) depicting the bust of a merchant sculpted in the round.
Height 19.5 cm, base 4.5 x 4.2 cm. Weight 308 g.
