Raccolta di costumi pittoreschi. In Roma 1809
Folio. Rare first edition of the first collection of picturesque costumes from the Roman countryside, very famous and sought after as defined by Cicognara 1762: "These are mostly taken from the habits of the Roman people, and are expressed with an unsurpassed truth and fidelity". The last plate represents the author's rest among the ruins with the motto carved on the tombstone: "Everything ends".
