Large oil lamp, Rome, 19th century - circular container with three spouts at the bottom in the shape of a virile mask, culminating in a lid centered by an eagle-shaped grip with spread wings; chiselled support of a draped female figure holding a laurel wreath in her left hand, resting on a column rostrum; circular base enriched by the figures of six owls perched on a simulated boulder; spherical feet. Complete with tools for this purpose and a flame arrester embossed to represent two opposite butterflies, maximum height cm. 87, gross weight gr. 4.000 circa (silversmith's mark worn)
