Pair of large ornamental vases, France, Louis XVI period - entirely in white lacquered wood, imitation marble and gilded. The grip is ideally made up of two dolphins with intertwined tails, from whose mouths arise realistically sculpted flowered wreaths that end in a goat's head surrounded by curled ribbons; domed lid with pine cone grip, characterized by a round of lanceolate leaves, the same ones that decorate the lower part of the body; square foot, cm. 95x60; the foot: cm. 30x30. The vases rest on a pair of square-section bases lacquered in gray faux-marble and white (not coeval), cm. 120x49x49
