Pair of large turquoise, polychrome and gilt porcelain vases, France, Jacob Petit, 19th century - of scenographic layout with a flattened ovoid body finely painted to depict a still life of flowers on both sides; perforated edge characterized by a series of floral reserves: inside runs a motif of bunches of flowers; two handles of a satyr bust with the head surrounded by vine leaves, surmounted by a foliated scroll with a crumpled tip: a similar vegetal motif laterally adorns the foot centered by a shell valve. Rectangular base with a partially perforated curved profile, underglaze J.P. mark in blue under the base of a vase, cm. 51x36x24.The vases rest on a pair of square-section bases in gray and white faux marble lacquered wood (not coeval), cm. 120x46.5x46.5
