Gilt bronze centrepiece, Paris, Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810-1892) - oval body decorated with rich chiseled applications of female heads with laurel wreaths, surrounded by large leafy volutes from which festoons with leaves and berries arise; two stylized scroll handles characterized by the head of a satyr; fluted support decorated with foliate motifs with circular foot signed F.Barbedienne; square base with concave corners enriched by rectangular reserves with leafy tufts and alternate corollas; spinning top feet highlighted by a crown of acanthus leaves, cm. 47x60x30 circa
