Portugal * 1898 – 4th Centenary of the Discovery of the Sea Route to India. Colour proof of a 10 réis postal stationery, with stamp and captions in light bistre, on thick white cardboard, with an engraving of Vasco da Gama in black on the front, used on 20 réis postal stationery. Very rare proof of stationery, very well preserved. Only two specimens are known with this combination. Very fine and scarce.
