Flown in Spitfire Personally Signed by Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Park, Air Officer Commanding No 11 group, Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain ( Very Nice Clear Signature ) Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Rodney Park, GCB, KBE, MC and Bar, DFC was a New Zealand soldier, First World War flying ace and Second World War Royal Air Force commander. He was in operational command during two of the most significant air battles in the European theatre in the Second World War, helping to win the Battle of Britain and the Battle of Malta. Nearly 3, 000 aircrew of RAF Fighter Command fought and won the epic Battle of Britain in 1940, amongst them 127 New Zealanders - a figure now increased to 128 following official inclusion of one of the primary architects of victory: Auckland's Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Park.
