SHIPS FROM London, UK Life is full of chaotic moments, and some level of control is necessary to navigate and thrive in such situations. At the same time, too much control can lead to rigidity, stifling creativity, and an inability to adapt to changing circumstances.This work was started in a time of confusion and chaos, professionally and privately. I set it down a few times over a number of months but didn?t give up on it and finally at a time of harmonious balance, I was able to compete it. Courtenay Kusitor is an abstract artist who draws upon her interest in consciousness to inform her impressionist and expressionist work. Having experienced a life altering event, Courtenay's intention is to ignite a sense of inward and outward awareness - one that the viewer could bring into their life beyond the initial engagement of the art itself. Her blocks of bold unapologetic colour and intuitive marks combine traditional and contemporary abstract painting. Courtenay has exhibited with various galleries and art fairs in London and has been featured in Saatchi Art?s Undiscovered Artists To Know list. Courtenay?s work has been acknowledged by American Pulitzer Prize Winning Art Critic Jerry Saltz, who has liked and commented on her art. Her work is held in private collections in the UK, USA & UAE.
