SHIPS FROM THE ARTIST'S STUDIO IN ------ Vilnius Wintertime. Time for calmness in nature. Snowdrops cover everything around, and some berries are left on the trees. They are like small sparkles of life and reminders about summer in the deep winter. BIO Birute Nomeda Stankuniene is an abstract visual artist living and working in Vilnius, Lithuania. Having a degree and work experience in engineering, in 2009 graduated from Vilnius Art Academy. Birute's artworks have been showcased nationally and in international exhibitions over forty times. Five of them were held in the UK. In 2018 she was granted Slade summer school residency. The artist is in an intensive collaboration with the gallery IMMAGINARIA ( Florence). Birute?s art has been featured by Saatchi Art Online Gallery, on IUOMA and Slow Art Day publications, BBC RADIO SOLENT, CNC, and multiple online blogs and press. The artist describes her artworks in two words -existential movement. As being from a post-soviet country she is interested in the strengths of humanity to survive and overcome trauma and move forward.Engineering background influences an artist's creative process. According to the artist - 'For her generalised colour spot, the intensity of brush stroke or tridimensional form allows to convey a psychologic state or event just like in physics, we could describe an ongoing phenomenon with a summarizing formula.
