Henrik Wigström (1862-1923) was one of the most important master goldsmiths of the Fabergé workshop, having been Head of the workshop between 1903 and 1917.
Finnish by origin, he moved to Saint Petersburg in 1875, having started working at Fabergé at the invitation of Michael Perchin in 1884. Michael Perchin became Head of workshop in 1886 until his death in 1903, with Wigström succeeding him, since he was already assistant chief, having supervised pieces in the form of animals, figures and flowers in hard stone from 1886 to 1917, when, due to the Russian revolution, the Fabergé House closed.
