Pencil drawing by Louis Kolitz from a collection of studies, hand-signed, artist stamp on verso.Louis Kolitz (1845-1914) was a German painter known for his historical and military scenes, as well as portraits and genre paintings. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kassel and later taught at the Kunstakademie in Kassel. Kolitz’s works often depicted dramatic and emotional moments, showcasing his skill in composition and detail.
