Paris, early 20th century. Printed on fine paper. Original half leather cover. Gilt leaf cutting, gilt embossing in cover. At the beginning of the album are three maps - Eretz Israel, Lebanon, and Sinai.
492 black and white photographs from the best early photographers who photographed in Eretz Israel. Each image was printed on a large entire page. Below each photo is a detailed explanation, at the end of the book are key pages for the photos. An important and early collection of photographs from all the landscapes of the Land of Israel to the various cities, as well as of the people of the Land of Israel, as well as photographs of Jews in traditional dress from the old settlement. On page 34 is a large panoramic photograph of Jerusalem and the wall - over two pages.
