A 84 Russian silver-mounted cut-glass decanter, Moscow, 1908-1917, maker's mark Cyrillic VK Provenance - Sotheby's London July 11/2023 Tapering body, the neck mount cast and chased with cartouches surrounded by foliate scrolls, the handle chased with overlaid leaves, the hinged cover with a gadrooned domed finial, the interior of the silver mount gilt, struck to the spout, cover and neck with maker's initials and 84 standard. height 28.5cm (11 1/4 in) Very good condition overall, some tarnishing to the silver consistent with age, a couple of very small scattered chips and scratches.
