Very rare letter from the American Senate signed by Richard Nixon (Dick), registered on 01.17.1951 by the District of Columbia Commission (which also included Joseph Mc Carty - supporter of McCarthyism).
The letter is addressed to Henry Tasca.
Text:
"DEAR HENRY, THANK YOU FOR SENDING ME THIS ARTICLE FROM L'"HUMANITE'". APPARENTLY, THE COMMUNISTS USED THE SPEECHES OF TAFT AND HOOVER (USA presidents) TO GET SOME ADVANTAGE.
IN ANY WAY, I WILL BE GRATEFUL IF YOU ALSO SEND ME SMALL NOTES, CONFIDENTIALLY, RELATING TO SUCH TOPICS.
THANKING YOU WITH ALL MY HEART, I HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON.
DICK".
The letter is confidential, and it is telling that it talks about Hoover and Taft.
Nixon, who hated communists, talks about Hoover (head of the CIA), and Taft, an American senator.
