Pavel Nedvěd (Cheb, 30 August 1972) is a Czech sports manager and former footballer.
Considered one of the best midfielders of his generation, as well as one of the strongest Czech players in history, he was among the protagonists, between the 90s and 2000s, of the successes of Lazio first and then Juventus - the latter club of which he is, in cohabitation with Alex Sandro, the footballer of non-Italian origin who wore the shirt the most times (327); by virtue of his performances in the black and white shirt in 2003, he was awarded the Golden Ball awarded by the French magazine France Football (the second Czech to receive this award after Josef Masopust), and named World Player of the Year by the British magazine World Soccer . Nicknamed Czech Fury by Italian fans, [6] during his career he also wore the shirts of Dukla Prague and Sparta Prague in his home country.
