A Chinese Carved and Polychrome Painted Wood Figure of Guanyin.
A carved wooden figure of Guanyin, depicted seated in a meditative posture with hands pressed together in Anjali Mudra. The figure is adorned with remnants of polychrome pigments, with soft blue-green tones accentuating the draped robes and traces of red detailing the facial features. The serene expression is framed by an elaborate headdress, while a lotus blossom rests at the centre of the crossed legs.
