In eight sumptuous individual scarlet red full leather bindings of the period. Gold embossed spine, gilt embossed geometric framework on upper covers, gilt-embossed super-ex-libris «P.B.» in the lower right edge of each upper cover. Triple-sided gilt edge.
Very good condition. Minor soiling, scuffing of corners, minor damage to the leather of some spines.

The 1900 edition of the enlarged and completed collection of works by Alexander S. Khomyakov, the founder of early Slavophilism, Russian poet, philosopher, essayist and theologian, includes, besides his philosophical and journalistic works, his poetic works, the poetic tragedies ‘Ermak’ and ‘Dmitry Samozvanets’ [Dmitry Impostor] and his letters of different years.
