FLEMING ALEXANDER: (1881-1955) Scottish Biologist, Nobel Prize winner for Physiology or Medicine, 1945. A very unusual A.N.S. by Fleming, one page, card, 5.5 x 9.5, signed at the base of his own attractive caricature, stating `If I looked just like this I feel sure I should be able to refuse requests such as yours. Alexander Fleming. Dec 1945.´ The wonderful Fleming´s caricature is by Dutch artist Pollak, with the clothing for the full body being made of fabric. The document is dated the same year he received the Nobel Prize for the discovery of penicillin. The caricature card has been lightly affixed to a slightly larger paper with creases to edges, but not to the card. Very small overall minor age wear. G to VG
