HEMINGWAY ERNEST: (1899-1961) American Novelist, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1954. D.S., Ernest M. Hemingway, being a signed cheque, New York, 15th September 1953. The partially printed cheque is drawn on the account of Ernest M. Hemingway at the Bank Guaranty Trust Company of New York, Fifth Avenue office, for the sum of $250, and is made payable to Roberto Herrera, in Hemingway´s hand. One bank cancellation and stamp to the front, not affecting the signature. Signed to the verso by Roberto Herrera, also bearing several bank cancellations. VG Roberto Herrera, photographer and friend of Hemingway. Co-author of Ernest Hemingway Rediscovered, a photographic record of the writer's period in Cuba between 1939 and 1960.
