ROLLAND ROMAIN: (1866-1944) French Dramatist & Novelist, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1915. A good A.L.S., Romain Rolland, two pages, written to first and third, 8vo, Villeneuve, Vaud, 6th April 1925, to the Administrator of the journal "Philosophies", in French. Rolland informs his correspondent that he is sending him the amount of money corresponding to a full year subscription to the journal, stating in part `..I think that this journal will start a new era in France
´ further saying `Please send my congratulations to the Director Mr. Morhange
the vigorous thoughts, clean, natural, without fake literature masking the serious and pure thinking..´ Rolland mentions being very attracted by Henri Lefèbvre study which woke up his own personal experiences. VG £150-200
