CAMUS ALBERT: (1913-1960) French Author and Philosopher. Nobel Prize winner in Literature, 1957. A very good A.L.S., `Albert Camus´, one page, 4to, n.p., 10th March 1951, to Monsieur Dupont, in French. Camus sends a kind letter and his gratitude in an amusing way `Je vous remercie d´avoir bien voulu m´aider, une fois de plus, dans mes corvées annuelles. Je suis confus du reste, de vous ennuyer avec tant de persévérance. Mais le naufragé au milieu de l´Atlantique est certainement confus de déranger le commandant du navire qui le recueille. Il n´empêche qu´il ne peut pas se passer du commandant´ (''Thank you for your willingness to help me, once again, with my annual chores. I am confused, moreover, to bore you with so much perseverance. But the castaway in the middle of the Atlantic is certainly confused to disturb the Captain of the ship that rescued him. Nevertheless, he cannot do anything without the commander´ further announcing his return a week after and thanking once again his correspondent. Mr. Dupont could be in charge of Camus´ accounts and taxes. Small age toning to the central fold, otherwise about VG
