ALBERT I & LEOPOLD III of BELGIUM: Albert I (1875-1934) King of the Belgians 1909-1934, & Lepold III (1901-1983) Son of Albert I. King of the Belgians 1934-51 when he abdicated. An excellent multiple signed vintage 14 x 11 photograph, matte-finish, `Albert´, dated beneath in his hand `Sept 30th 1919´, and `Leopold de Belgique´. The attractive image shows the USS George Washington ocean liner aboard which King Albert I and his son Leopold travelled to New York in 1919. Individually signed by the King and the Prince in bold black fountain pen ink to the upper left clear corner of the image. Also signed by Lieutenant General Jacques, Rear Admiral Andrew Long and by naval Commander E. McCauley Jr. Signed at the New York Biltmore hotel, a palatial hotel opened a few years earlier, at Madison Avenue next to Grand Central Terminal. Attractively framed and glazed to an overall of 16.5 x 11.5. Small age wear to edges, otherwise G to VG
