CHERUBINI LUIGI: (1760-1842) Italian Composer. L.S., L. Cherubini, two pages, 4to, Paris., 29th May 1828, to Monsieur Sauvage, in French. Cherubini, in his capacity as Director of the Royal Music School, as the printed title states "Le Directeur de l´Ecole Royale de musique et de Déclamation Lyrique" explains to his correspondent that `…you must have been informed that the Royal theatres cannot refuse to admit the Royal School students to make their debut..´, further recommending a student saying `I believe he is ready to make his debut in the theatres that you direct. You will listen to him Monsieur le Directeur and you will judge yourself if he deserves the opinion I have of his talent.´ With blank integral leaf. Very small minor creasing to the right edge.
