MUGNONE LEOPOLDO: (1858-1941) Italian Conductor who performed at the premieres of Cavalleria Rusticana and Tosca. A good A.M.Q.S., Leopoldo Mugnone, with statement, one page, 8vo, n.p., n.d., in Italian. On a page removed from an autograph album, Mugnone states to the heading `the only profession which allows you to be able to do with impunity, without knowing, and without needing a diploma, is the one of the conductor and theatre director.´ Beneath his signature Mugnone has neatly penned a quotation of four bars, with the voice text beneath, which he identifies as ´Il Birichino´ and undersigns `l´Autore´ (`The Author´).
