FRENCH COMPOSERS: A good selection of three A.Ls.S., by various French Composers, including GABRIEL FAURÉ (1845-1924) A.L.S., Gabriel Fauré, a bold and good signature, two pages, 8vo, Paris, 26th June 1915, on the National Conservatory printed stationery, to an unidentified composer, in French. Fauré states `I have been sincerely interested in your work, You entitle it ''Free'' Symphony although it is not necessary as it correspond to the accepted forms. If you would have the opportunity to perform it you might consider useful to amend few parts… It is quite rare that any of our works do not need improvements after an audition..´ With blank integral leaf. Accompanied by an original Musica magazine, published in February 1909, dedicated in full to Fauré, his life, his works, photographs, etc…; Napoleon Henri Reber (1807-1880) A.L.S., Henri Reber, two pages, 8vo, n.np., n.d., to A. Thomas, in French. Reber explains to his correspondent that he tries to meet him for eight days now, and that he doesn´t want to influence his decision, respects his views, although respectfully asks him to include his name on the list; André Messager (1853-1929) A.L.S., A Messager, to the front and verso of his personal oblong 8vo stationery card. A letter referring to war, WWI, stating `You must be glad, as I am, reading Miss Cecile Sorel opinion regarding Italy (Excelsior this morning)..
