GERSHWIN GEORGE: (1898-1937) American Composer & Pianist. Signed 7 x 4 piece `George Gershwin´, on musical paper, and dated `New York City, 21st February 1929´ in his own hand. Gershwin has also added alongside his name one bar of music with two musical notes. Folded, with few small areas of paper loss to the edges, although not affecting the signature or text. Matted in white beneath a 5.5 x 8 photograph of Gershwin, the image depicting the composer seated in a half length pose, annotating on a musical quotation he is performing on his piano. Framed in wood and glazed to an overall size of 12 x 17 (30 x 43 cm). G £300-400
