DE GAULLE CHARLES: (1890-1970) French General of World War II. Later President of the French Republic 1959-69. Book signed and inscribed, an 8vo paperback first edition of La France sera La France - Ce que veut Charles de Gaulle (`France will be France - What Charles de gaulle wants´), published by Bouchy & Son, Paris, 1950. The French text edition correspond to a work by the ''Rassemblement du peuple Français'' association (''The French People Gathering''). The 335 pages book is signed and inscribed in bold blue ink to the title page `To Miss Christine Duclos, as a friendly souvenir with my respectful homage. C. de Gaullle.´ in French. The present copy is numbered 5829 of the ten thousand copies issued for this first edition, with printed inscription to Christine Duclos. Very small overall age wear, and small staining. VG £250-350
